The Best Thing You’ll See for the Rest of this Year.

September 27, 2010

We’re a little late, but ladies and gentlemen:  please say hello to and thank God for 50 Tyson’s debut music video, “I Ain’t Gonna Lie.”

So I’ve really been feeling torn about 50 Tyson.  It was all fun and games until I found out that he had autism, and then I just felt bad for laughing, as I’m sure most of us did in the beginning.

But watching this video by Jordan Tower really changed my perspective on the whole thing.  This isn’t (or at least, doesn’t have to be) a case of us looking at 50 Tyson and saying, “Aw, man.  This is sad, he’s got autism.”  That’s how I’ve been beholding the whole thing, wanting to laugh but feeling bad about it because of his disability.

…But he kind of kills both the other rappers on this track, autism be damned.

So do that, 50 Tyson!  Be an inspiration!  Keep slaying those of us who’ll sit at home and laugh while meanwhile, ain’t nobody chasin’ us down to make no videos!

I will most definitely be buying his album when it comes out please soon!

I thought the same exact thing this morning when I seen the video. I felt so bad for laughing at his videos on YouTube. Then, I actually listened to what he was saying on this one and he isn’t bad. Now the YouTube videos were terrible as far as lyrical content is concerned, but he redeemed hisself with this one. I will buy his album as well, and I have not bought ANY album in about 5 years, but I will support him and his cause.

*no shade* …. but do all 3 of them have autism? or is everyone in the twin cities rhythmically challenged?
